Making Space serves homeowners throughout the greater Nashville area and surrounding communities. If you’re not sure whether you’re within our service area, reach out and we’ll be happy to check.
We'll start by talking about what’s frustrating you most about your space and what you’d like to change. From there, I'll create a plan that makes sense for your home, your belongings, and your goals.
Yes! I can work on a single space, several rooms, or an entire home. I'll prioritize the areas that will make the biggest difference in your everyday life.
Absolutely not. You don’t need to clean, organize, or hide anything before I arrive. Seeing your space as it really is helps me understand what’s working, what isn’t, and where you need the most support.
That’s exactly why I'm here. You don’t have to get your home “ready” for me. Whether you’re dealing with one overwhelming room or years of accumulated belongings, we’ll work through it together one step at a time.
The word “hoarder” gets used pretty loosely these days, and every cluttered or overwhelming home is different. If you feel overwhelmed by the amount of stuff in your home but are ready and willing to make decisions and let go of items, I can help. I work alongside you without judgment to sort through belongings, reduce clutter, and create systems that make your home feel more manageable and enjoyable.Letting go can be difficult, but it can also be incredibly freeing. The goal is not to get rid of everything. It’s to thoughtfully let go of the items that no longer serve you so you can make space for the things, activities, and life you value most. You are always in control of what stays and what goes. My role is to guide the process, keep things moving, and encourage you as you make decisions when you feel stuckIf someone is unable or unwilling to part with any belongings, they may need specialized hoarding support beyond what I provide.
We can help sort items into categories such as keep, donate, sell, recycle, and discard. We can also help prepare donations and discuss the best options for getting unwanted items out of your home.
Never. Life gets busy, circumstances change, and clutter happens. My goal is to create a judgment-free space where you feel comfortable making decisions and getting the help you need.
Please don’t be. You don’t need to apologize or explain. I've seen a lot of different spaces and understand that clutter can build up for many reasons. I'm here to help, not judge.
It depends on the project. Some clients prefer to work alongside me, while others are comfortable having me work independently after we’ve established the plan. We’ll discuss what works best for you.
Every project is different. Some spaces can be transformed in a few hours, while larger or more involved projects may take multiple sessions. If you’re unsure where to start, I can help you determine an appropriate amount of time.
Absolutely. Moving and downsizing are great times to take a closer look at what you own. I can help you sort through belongings, decide what should move with you, and create a more manageable home.
Absolutely. I love working with kids and teens to create spaces that are easier for them to maintain. I can help with bedrooms, closets, homework areas, toys, school papers, and other belongings. I'll work with them - not just around them - to help them decide what they use, what they've outgrown, and what they're ready to let go of. Then we'll create simple systems that make sense for how they actually use their space. The goal isn't perfection. It's helping them feel less overwhelmed, more independent, and more confident managing their belongings.
Cleaning focuses on making your home clean. Organizing focuses on making your home work better for you. I'll help you declutter, decide what belongs in your home, create functional systems, and find homes for the things you use. The goal isn’t just for your space to look better when I leave, it’s to make your home easier and more enjoyable to live in.
I'll first declutter and organize, then determine what products, if any, will help the space function better. Products can be purchased by you or coordinated through me. We'll discuss what works best for your project.
My primary focus is helping you create a more functional home. If you have items you’d like to sell, I can help you identify them and create a plan, but selling items is not the primary service.
My goal is for you to have more than a tidy room. I want you to have a space that feels calmer, functions better, and makes sense for the way you actually live.
Yes, as long as the person whose home or belongings we'll be working with is aware of the appointment and comfortable with me being there. Organizing works best when the person is part of the process and ready for help. I won't surprise someone with an organizing session or remove, donate, or discard their belongings without their permission. You're welcome to purchase or arrange the service for someone else, but they need to be on board before we get started.
